For instance, I take care that all the information coming from underlying databases appear beautifully on your computer screen when you open a website.

What you really do

As Middleware Engineer you advise our clients on the optimal use of their IT infrastructure. You prepare and conduct installations and configure data & application platforms for future management. As a member of the team you will get familiar with the Oracle Fusion Middleware stack and configure application server components. You install, configure and manage the Oracle Database and MySQL. Setting up high available environments, running 24/7, with disaster recovery scenarios and strong backup policies is also one of your tasks. On top of that, you monitor and tune complex IT environments, testing them to the limit. You integrate security features enterprise-wide.

We ask of you

  • You show experience in Oracle technology and want to know more about the architecture behind the scenes
  • You are an Oracle database administrator or system administrator and want to broaden your knowledge range to the middleware world
  • Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Application Server, Jboss, Glassfish and/or Tomcat application servers are no-brainers for you
  • Knowledge of Oracle development tools. Java & J2EE, networking, perl/python/shell scripting are a plus
  • Your Dutch and English are fluent, speaking French is a plus.

I am hired by a Benelux T company to help customers bend their old ways of managing IT systems to the modern cloud. Do you know that there are still companies that scatter their IT across multiple locations? Well, I help them to move everything to the cloud. That way, they have to invest less in own equipment and technical staff. Together with the customer I design the road to the cloud and carry out the various steps for them.

What you really do

As Cloud System Engineer you work tightly together with our clients as a technical advisor, architect and consultant. As a member of our cloud team you will get familiar with the Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. You configure IAAS, PAAS and SAAS platforms in the cloud and provision these platforms through advanced cloud provisioning tools. Installing, configuring and managing our middleware and database portfolio the-cloud-way, taking into account scalability and elasticity, is also one of your tasks. You set up a highly available environment, running 24/7, and you gain extensive knowledge on cloud security matters. Finally, you monitor cloud platforms, integrating services in the BRYXX cloud monitoring framework

What we ask of you

  • You have experience in Oracle technology and want to know how to bring this to the cloud
  • Being a database, middleware or system administrator makes you tick and you want to extend your knowledge to the cloud
  • Knowledge about Weblogic, Jboss, Glassfish and/or Tomcat application servers of is must

There are a lot of skills required to win a Formula 1 race: a good pilot, a strong team of engineers who build the engine, a team to manage the engine, a pit crew, specialists who continuously monitor parameters during the race, etc.

If all these team members only do their own thing, you will never drive a successful race. Communication between team members within the team and communication between the different teams are crucial components to reach the finish line first.

DevOps is exactly the same: each team within IT communicates clearly with each other and works well together, as one team, so that projects get done faster and better. As automation engineer, I am one of the crew members that makes the engine run smoothly.

 

What you really do

As a DevOps Automation Engineer you will be part of our team and work on different kind of projects. You will be working on infrastructure automation, continuous integration, versioning and virtualization projects. You work both in our offices and at the customer.

 

What we ask of you

  • Experience or interest in configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef and/or Ansible is important to us
  • A strong interest in the DevOps lifestyle, continuous integration and tools like Jenkins, Hudson and/or Bamboo
  • You are no stranger to working with version control systems
  • Virtualization and containerization are known to you and you are eager know more about it with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare
  • Scripting with Perl, Python and/or Ruby is something that you like doing
  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and Windows is desirable

What you really do

As a Database Administrator you install and configure the databases of our customers, which are both simple set ups and high available platforms. You prepare and conduct the migrations and/or updates of the existing databases. Besides that, you are responsible for the performance, tuning and daily maintenance. Guidance of customers in platform design and migrations is also one of your responsibilities. As a member of the BRYXX DBA team you will perform the automatization through the DevOps toolset of Puppet, Jenkins, etc.

We ask of you

  • You show experience in Oracle DB (min. 11g and 12c) and have good knowledge of Linux and Windows, Unix is a plus
  • Oracle RMAN, Oracle Cloud Control and Oracle Dataguard are no secret to you. If you know Real Application Cluster (RAC), you rule!
  • Performance tuning, system as query show no problem. Knowledge of low virtualisation (VMWare) and OVM is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud offering, and Oracle Middleware stack is a bonus
  • Your Dutch and English are fluent, speaking French is a hit
